Maynard's Honey Garlic Chicken

MAYNARD'S HONEY GARLIC CHICKEN

Ingredients

  • 6 chicken breasts, or less
  • Salt and pepper, to season
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder, to season
  • 1 cloves garlic, crushed, for each breast of chicken
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup water (or chicken broth)
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar (or apple cider vinegar, or any white vinegar)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or Coco Amino
  • Parsley


 Directions

1.  Season chicken with salt, pepper and garlic powder; set aside.

2.  Heat the iron skillet, or other pan, over medium high heat.

3.  Sear chicken breast fillets on both sides until golden and cooked through.

4. When chicken is close to done, make a space in the skillet to add the crushed garlic.  Fry for about 30 seconds.

4. Add the honey, water, vinegar and soy sauce.  

6. Continue to cook until the sauce reduces down and thicken slightly (about 3-4 minutes).

7. Serve the chicken on plates, pour over each piece of chicken some of the sauce and garnish with parsley.
