Bill Pittendreigh

Bill Pittendreigh sent this recipe. "When I was the Industrialist in Residence at the School of Textiles after my retirement, Clarence Rogus, one of the Professors, would cook this srhimp boil when we would have a get together for a seminar."

In a pot large enough to hold three gallons, add one gallon of water, one pint of vinegar, and bring to a boil. Add 3 tablespoons of salt, 4 tablespoons of seafood seasoning.

Add 2 1/2 pounds of smoked sausage. Bring to boil.

Add 2 pounds of small potatoes. Bring to boil.

Add 2 pounds of small onions and bring back to a boil.

Boil until the potatoes are almost done.

Add 8 frozen half ears of corn and bring to a boil.

Add 4 pounds of shrimp.

When shrimp meat separates from shell, pour off water and serve.
