CAKE ICING - Hazel's Buttercream Frosting for Pound Cakes

1 pound confectioners xxxx sugar

1/2 cup margerine, softened

1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring

3 tablespoons milk

Food coloring, optional

In a large bowl, melt margarine and add milk. Add sugar and mix until smooth. This will frost a 2 layer cake or 2 dozen cupcakes.

To make lemon frosting add the grating and juice of one lemon omitting the vanilla and milk. Add more sugar or milk if needed to spread on cake.
