This recipe came from Julie Fulks, who was my administrative assistant at Howey in the Hills Community Church. Ginny found it a tasty addition to breakfast by adding a fruit topping.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cup of butter
3 cups sugar
3 cups all purpose flour
5 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cups 7 Up soft drink
Directions
1. Cream the 1 1/2 cup of butter with the 3 cups sugar.
2. Add 5 eggs one at a time, alternating with adding the 3 cups all purpose flour. Mix well.
3. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla, then 3/4 cups of 7 Up.
4. Bake at 325 F for 1 hour and 25 minutes. I use a bunt cake pan.
