COOKIES - PAT'S PECAN ROLO COOKIES

PECAN ROLO COOKIES -Pat Werner Tarlton

Pat and I dated in high school.  Can you believe that she broke up with me on Valentines Day?  It was 1971, but during the Pandemic of 2020, she shared this recipe, and all was well with the world.

So simple, all you need are:

• Pretzels - the kind of small, square, tightly woven pretels
• Unwrapped Rolo Candies
• Pecan halves
• Sea Salt

1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
2. Line a pan with nonstick foil.
3. Lay out pretzels and top each with one unwrapped Rolo Candy.
4. Lay pecans on the pan, too, but not on top of the Rolo.
5. Place in oven for 4 minutes.
6. Remove and push each pecan gently on top of Rolo Candies.
7. Sprinkle with salt.
