CAKE - Ginny's 7-Up Cake

Maynard and Ginny got this recipe in June, 1978, while Maynard was serving for a summer as a seminary student assistant to the pastor of the Fayetteville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in Tennessee. The recipe was a favorite of several of the families in the church.

1 yellow cake mix

1 box pinapple instant pudding

2/3 cup of oil

4 eggs

11 oz of 7 UP

Bake at 300 for 1 hour

ICING:

3 tablespoons corn starch or 6 tablespoons flour

1 stick butter

1 1/2 cup sugar

cook together in a pot until thickened.
