BISCUITS - Mom's Simple Biscuits

2 cups self rising flour
1/4 cup shortening
3/4 cup milk

1. Heat oven to 450 degrees F.
2. Spray cookie sheet with oil.
3. Place flour in a large bowl.
4. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coars crumbs.
5. Add milk and stir with fork until soft dough forms and mixture begins to ;pull away from the sides of the bowl.
6. On lightly floured surface, knead dough just until smooht.
7. Roll out dough to 1/2 inch thickness.
8. Cut with floured 2 inch round cutter.
9. Place biscuits onto cookie sheets - have the sides of the biscuits touching each other.
10. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
11. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Serve warm.
