HEAD BISCUITS
These biscuits are made to be as big as a Cat’s Head. No, we do not use the head of a cat in the ingredients.

Makes 6.
Ingredients:
2 cups self-rising flour
6 tablespoons of vegetable oil
1 ½ teaspoons of sugar
½ teaspoon of baking powder
1 cup or so of buttermilk (may need a bit less than a cup)
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted.

Directions:
1.
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
2.
Using a large spoon, mix together
the flour, oil, sugar and baking powder in a large bowl.
3.
Turn out the dough onto a floured
surface and roll out to ¾ inch thickness.
4.
Using a 2 ½ inch round cutter,
cut out 5 biscuits.
5.
Gently roll out the scraps to make
the last of the 6 biscuits.
6.
Put the biscuits on an ungreased baking
sheet and brush them with the melted butter.
7.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or
until golden brown. Do NOT over cook.
8.
Remove from oven and serve ‘em
up.
