BLACKBERRY COBBLER


BLACKBERRY COBBLER



·        2 1/2 cups fresh blackberries
·        1 cup sugar 1 cup flour
·        2 teaspoons baking powder 
·        1 cup milk
·        8 tablespoons butter, melted
·        Vanilla ice cream, for topping



1.     Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
2.     In medium bowl, combine the blackberries and sugar; let the berries stand about 15 minutes, until fruit syrup forms.
3.     In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and milk.
4.     Add the melted butter until well blended.
5.     Spread the batter into an ungreased 8 inch square pan.
6.     Spread the blackberry mixture over batter.
7.     Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until dough rises and is golden.
8.     Serve while warm and top with ice cream.
