CREME-DE-MENTE BROWNIES

This recipe comes from a member of the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, who served this to the Pittendreighs when they moved to Georgia.

Combine…

½ cup butter

1 cup sugar

4 eggs

Also, add to first mixture these incredients and beat well

1 cup flour

½ tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla

1 - 1pound chocolate syrup

Pour into ungreased 9x13 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let cool in pan for 1 hour.

Mix together and spread on cooled cake the following, then refridgerate until firm.

½ cup butter

2 ¼ cup confectioners sugar

4 tbs green crème-de-menthe

Melt together and pour over second layer, then refridgerate until firm.

6 ounces package of semi sweet morsels

6 tbs butter

Substitute: 1 tsp peppermint extract, several drops green food coloring, milk/cream as needed.
