Creamy Shrimp and Crab Bisque - Maynard Pittendreigh
Incredients
2 tablespoons of butter
2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of white pepper
1 1/2 cups of half and half cream
1/2 pound of medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 pound pre-cooked crab meat
1/2 cup of white wine
1/2 teaspoon of paprika
Directions
1. In a large saucepan, melt butter over a low heat.
2. Stir in flour, salt,
white pepper.
3. Stir in 3/4 cup half-and-half
cream into the mixture.
4. Mix in shrimp and crab meat.
5. Turn the
temperature to medium heat and continue stirring until the mixture
thickens.
6. Blend the remaining half-and-half cream and wine into the mixture. Serve and enjoy!
You can skip the shrimp and just make this a crab bisque by doubling the crab.
