STRAWBERRY PIE - Shoney's Style Strawberry Pie

  • 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 package of strawberry gelatin
  • 1 baked 9 inch pie shell, cooled
  • Whipped toppng
  • A bunch of strawberries

  1. Blend together cornstarch and sugar.
  2. Combine in saucepan with water.
  3. Cook, stirring until thick - about 3 to 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Add gelatin and stir until it dissolves. Allow to cool.
  6. Spread strawberries in baked pie shell.
  7. Pour gelatin mixture over strawberries ad let chill 2 or 3 hours.
  8. Garnish with whipped topping.
