POTATOES - Maynard's Oven French Fries

Maynard Pittendreigh

Maynard's favorite proverb says, "A day without french fries is a day without vegetables."

1. Peel and cut potatoes into long strips about 1/2 inch thick.

2. Place in plastic bag with 1/4 cup oil. Shake well to distribute the oil on the potatoes.

3. Spray a pan with Pam and place potatoes on a single layer onto the pan.

4. Cook at 450 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes until the desired crispness has been acheived.

As an alternate, cut potatoes in 4 equal wedges. Leave skin on. Shake in the bag with oil and place skin side down on pan and cook.

For a lighter touch, prepare fries and spay with a zero calery butter spray, or with Butter flavored Pam.
