BREAD - Anette's Homemade Bread

Maynard Pittendreigh

This came from a Swedish woman who served as the Associate Pastor of the Sunrise Presbyterian Church in Miami. For Americans, 2 1/2 deciliters is equal to 1.06 cups.

  • 50 grams of Butter or Margarine (Melt) [Anette uses homemade butter]
  • 2 ½ deciliters of whole milk (arm together with the melted butter or margarine
  • 1 pkg of dry yeast
  • salt and sugar, sparingly
  • flour (lots of it)

Let the dough rise for 30 minutes, then make little balls and stick them together on a baking sheet. Let rise again for another 30-40 minutes. Brush with a whipped egg, and put sesame seeds on top. Bake in a preheated oven on approximately 400 degrees F for 45 minutes to one hour.
